For our May meeting we welcomed four lovely ladies from the Shropshire Quilters who showed off some of their fabulous quilts, told us a little about their meetings, and gave us some wonderful ideas for future events and speakers for our own group.

It was a lovely glimpse into the workings of another local group and after showing their quilts, there was plenty of time for us to meet, mingle, chat and have a much closer look at their work – and believe me, it was very much worth a closer look!

As we had our quilts from Uttoxeter on display too, the evening had a real feel of a quilt show and we had so much positive feedback from everyone about how beautiful the Shropshire quilts were and how lovely it was to have a chance to chat. Beverley’s Dutch heritage quilts in particular were a big hit!

It was such a lovely evening that we would definitely want to do a similar thing again. A big thank you to the lovely Shropshire ladies for joining us and sharing their work.
