Lorna has been sewing since childhood and began her career as a Design and Technology teacher before stepping into the world of couture, where she gained invaluable behind-the-scenes experience. From there, she went on to establish her own made-to-measure clothing business; creating everything from bridal wear to lingerie, and began running specialist sewing workshops.

In 2014, Lorna opened her beautiful studio in a converted barn near Leek, which has since become a hub for sewing workshops, fabrics, haberdashery, and specialist machines. Today, she and her husband Stephen continue to support and inspire makers of all levels, and Lorna has also shared her knowledge through writing and contributing to sewing books.
