Join us for a group activity evening led by the marvellous Mouse Saint who will be showing us how to make a beautiful folded star potholder.
This is a slightly different folded star technique to the one most of us might be familiar with and the project includes circular binding too so hopefully we’ll all get to enjoy trying something new!
Supplies & Preparation
For this project you will need to bring:
Sewing Machine and Basic Sewing Kit
Fabric:
Round 1 – Four x 4″ Squares
Round 2 – Eight x 5″ Squares
Round 3 – Eight x 5″ Squares
Binding – 2″ x 25″
Ribbon – 6″
Backing – One x 8″ Square
We will provide wadding and insulation
Preparation:
All Squares should be folded in half WST (Wrong Sides Together) (a) and pressed. Then fold the folded corners to the centre line (b) and press again to form triangles (c).
