At our April meeting we were delighted to welcome one of own own members; Barbara Heath, who generously agreed to share some of her extensive knowledge and experience with us.

Barbara guided us through the fascinating world of sewing machine needles; covering everything from types and uses to common mistakes and helpful tips.

Its safe to say most of us left the evening with a fresh appreciation for the humble needle, and a burning desire to try out some new techniques. Who knew there were so many different kinds of needles and that using different ones could make such a difference to our work!

Barbara’s talk was educational, inspirational and entertaining and there were lots of requests for more from Barbara in the future! Her incredible skill, accuracy, and dedication to her craft shone through in the many wonderful examples she shared with us. A huge thank to Barbara for a wonderful evening!
